2010 Board Members
CF Release - March 1, 2010

Sixteen individuals who are leaders in their communities have been elected to the Community Foundation of the Quincy Areas Board of Directors. Among them, they serve nearly 50 community, civic and not-for-profit organizations in their hometowns, counties, or the tri-state region. Nearly all currently hold or have held leadership positions in those organizations.  
 
The following are serving as officers and members of the board of directors for 2010.  
 
Philip Krupps, of Mt. Sterling, IL, has been elected board chair. He is executive vice president and investment executive with Brown County State Bank.  
 
I serve because the Community Foundation represents everything that I was taught. It gives me a way to insure that my giving lasts beyond my lifetime and is a legacy that positively impacts my community, says Krupps.  
 
Brian Ippensen of Payson, IL has been elected as vice-chair. Ippensen is president of First Bankers Trust Services, Inc.  
 
Kathy Ridder of Quincy, IL has been elected secretary. She is a co-owner and the corporate secretary, JK Creative Printers & Mailing, Quincy, IL.  
 
Gary L. Blickhan, CPA and partner with Gray Hunter Stenn LLP, of Quincy, has been elected as treasurer.  
 
New members elected to the Board for an initial three-year term were:  
 
 Anthony E. Crane of Quincy, secretary/treasurer of Architechnics, Inc.  
 Larry Fischer of Quincy, retired, John Wood Community College  
 William McCleery, Jr. of Quincy, partner, Schmiedeskamp, Robertson, Neu & Mitchell  
 Paul Richards, CPA, of Hannibal, MO, partner, Wade Stables, P.C.  
 Steven Siebers of Quincy, partner, Scholz, Loos, Palmer, Siebers, & Duesterhaus  
 
Continuing to serve on the board in 2010 are:  
 
 Rodney Clark of Carthage, IL, partner with Capps, Ancelet, Clark & Rasmussen  
 Matt Dickinson of Carthage, president of DISTek Integration, Inc.  
 Don Kirk of Pittsfield, IL, financial representative and owner, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network  
 Tom Lay of Canton, MO, president of Canton State Bank  
 Irene Meyers of Palmyra, MO, assistant vice president, F&M Bank & Trust Company  
 Sharon Tweedell of Quincy, community volunteer  
 Dennis R. Williams of Quincy, chairman of the board, Quincy Newspapers, Inc.  
 
Michael Bickhaus of Quincy, partner with Schmiedeskamp, Robertson, Neu & Mitchell, retired from the board following seven years of service, the final two as board chair.  
 
Also retiring from the board were:  
 Tom Arnold of Quincy, partner with Arnold Behrens Nesbit & Gray, P.C.  
 James Bud Janes of Hannibal, Eastlan Midwest  
 Mary Jo Mast of Quincy, community volunteer  
 Jim Gay of Rockport, IL, farmer  
 
The Community Foundation is a nonprofit community resource that connects people who care with causes that matter in the tri-states. Serving 13 tri-state area counties in all, the Community Foundation works with donors to build charitable funds that support local causes. It is a grant maker, endowment builder, donor advisor and community connector.  
Since 1997, the Community Foundation has made more than 730 grants totaling more than $1.2 million to nearly 150 organizations in the region.
