Email: thecen@quincy.edu The Center for Effective Nonprofits (CEN) was launched in 2005 to promote excellence within nonprofit organizations in west central Illinois and northeast Missouri. It was founded through the collaborative efforts of QuincyUniversity, Tracy Family Foundation, Community Foundation of the Quincy Area, JohnWoodCommunity College, United Way of AdamsCounty, and University of Illinois Extension. These agencies submitted and received a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. CEN provides current information in changing times. Those who will benefit from our services include executive directors, staff, volunteers, and board members of nonprofit organizations. ![]() John Wood Community College is the location of a valuable resource available to area non-profits. This includes online resources as well. Online resources can only be accessed from the College’s main campus in Quincy. Library staff are prepared to help anyone unfamiliar with the Internet and online resources. Pat Woodworth, JWCC Director of Library Services, is the Cooperating Collection supervisor. As a participant, John Wood Community College provides public access to this collection on the Quincy campus.
