Mrs. Arthur O. Lindsay Fund

Lee Lindsay has been the very embodiment of energy through her lifetime.

She has volunteered and served organizations throughout the community, including Sunset Home, the Red Cross, and the Blessing Hospital Tea Room. She worked on Community Chest drives—“back when it was done house to house”—all on top of raising a family, being involved in her church, and attending hundreds of community events. She’s lead an incredibly well rounded life. Her church, the arts, and serving her community rank high among the things she believes in, loves, and supports.

With all of those interests, why does she choose to support the Community Foundation?

“I was approached to serve on the Board when the Community Foundation was organized and since my community has always been important to me, I was happy to help and proud to have been on the first board."

Lee so believes in the goals and mission of the Community Foundation that she established a fund honoring her late husband. The Mrs. Arthur O. Lindsay Fund is an unrestricted endowment. Like Lee, the fund supports the full range of community interest—arts and culture, community betterment, education, health, and human services throughout the tri-state region.
