Tom and Judy Zenge Fund

This fund benefits Canton R-V (MO) High School.

Tom Zenge did not learn everything he really needed to know in kindergarten because there was no kindergarten in his day.  However, he learned many important things during his early education.

To honor Canton, Missouri teachers who helped shape his education, he and his wife established the Tom and Judy Zenge Fund. Earnings from the endowed fund provide annual scholarship and teacher recognition awards at Canton R-V High School.

A retired engineer from Procter & Gamble, Zenge--who has lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for more than 25 years--has never forgotten his hometown.

“The intents in establishing this fund are twofold,” says Tom.  “First, as a professional engineer, I want to encourage the best and brightest young men and women to enter technical careers, whether engineering, research, teaching, manufacturing or other related fields. Second, I want to recognize the teachers that helped me and those that continue to make learning a lifelong passion.”

The student recipient of the Engineering, Science and Mathematics Award will recommend selection of the teacher recipient, with the concurrence of the Superintendent.

The primary consideration is the teacher that has been most influential in helping the student to achieve academic success.
